Alesha heartache
THE heartbroken family of little Alesha MacPhail said goodbye yesterday as they carried her body in a pink coffin.
Mum Georgina Cochrane led the tributes at the funeral and said: “Every single day will be harder than the day before to walk this earth without you by my side”.
The six-year-old was found dead on the Isle of Bute earlier this month.
A 16-year-old boy has been charged with her rape and murder.
Her parents asked mourners to wear something pink as a tribute to her. Family and friends gathered for a service at Coats Funeral Home in Coatbridge, North Lanarkshire.
Heart-shaped wreathes and cuddly toys were placed outside the funeral home, along with loving notes.
