JAWS ‘IN UK SEAS’
GREAT white sharks are already in British waters, it’s claimed.
Ashley Lane, who runs Ashley’s Fishing Trips from Paignton, Devon, said: “Great white sharks are there now, I’m sure of it.
“I’ve not seen one myself but I do speak to a lot of fisherman who say they have.”
His comments come as a study revealed 10 species of sharks from warmer parts of the world, such as hammerheads and blacktips, may be in British seas within 30 years as the climate changes.
More species could be heading towards the UK from the Mediterranean and Africa as seas become warmer, according to research for Nat Geo WILD TV network’s Sharkfest.
