‘IT’S INCREDIBLE TO FIND LOVE AGAIN’ Star Crissy’s movie-themed wedding
BENIDORM star Crissy Rock says getting hitched has finally ended her years of pain.
Last week she married Julian Buck in a wedding with a movie theme.
Crissy, who played gobby hotel manager Janey in the sunshine series, is happier than ever.
She told the Daily Star Sunday: “I’ve had people use me and take me for granted in the past. But nothing like that goes on between me and Julian. We just absolutely adore each other.
“When you’ve had a s **** y time with people in your past and then someone comes along and makes you feel loved, it erases everything from your mind.
“The past doesn’t exist as far as I’m concerned. I don’t wake up thinking about things I’ve been through any more.”
Julian, 50, said: “We’d both had s **** y relationships. So this feels like a new opening for us.”
Crissy, 59, met Julian on a night out two years ago and it changed her life.
She added: “I never thought I’d find anyone again. I was prepared to spend the rest of my life on my own.
“So for someone to come in and knock you sideways, it’s unbelievable.
“It took a while because at first I didn’t want to get involved with anyone, I didn’t want to get hurt. But the more I resisted, the closer we became.
“In the end I just gave in. People are saying they’ve never seen me so happy. It’s lovely to find love, especially at my age.”
Crissy and Julian wed at the Plaza Cinema in Stockport in front of pals, including Shameless star Tina Malone.
Crissy said: “The wedding was unbelievable, even better than we hoped.
“And the reception was great fun. We had a red carpet, a black and white film and high tea with 1930s music in the background. It was magical.”
Julian said: “Seeing Crissy come down the aisle brought tears to my eyes. I was just speechless. It’s difficult to put how I feel into words. I’m still on a high.”
Crissy added: “I can’t stop saying ‘He’s my husband’. He’s the best thing that has ever happened to me.”
