NINETIES TV show Buffy The Vampire Slayer is being rebooted – without the star who made her into a cult figure.

A new actress is being sought to replace Sarah Michelle Gellar.

OwusuBreen for a new version of Joss Whedon’s teen favourite.

Breen is pals with Whedon thanks to their time together on ABC’s Agents Of SHIELD.

Casting agents will find the actress to replace Gellar this autumn. An LA media source said: “TV reboots in the USA are booming. Buffy was a massive deal.

“This character will be very relevant and very powerful. Fox are hoping for big things.”

Buffy ran for seven series on BBC Two and around the world from 1997 to 2003.
