Fury at stag tattoo prank

- ■ by ISOBEL DICKINSON ●

SICK British stag revellers in Benidorm paid a homeless man to get a tattoo of the groom’s name on his forehead.

The street sleeper was offered 100 to be inked for life and said it was impossible to turn down.

The tattoo was supposed to read: “Jamie Blake, North Shields, NE28” But it could not be finished as the man, who is in his thirties, was in too much pain.

The tattoo parlour posted a snap of the marking being carried out on their Facebook page – but was slammed by some of its customers. One man wrote: “Shocking ethics by your company.”

Karen Malin Cowles, president of the Benidorm British Business Association – who knows the homeless man – said: “What they have done to this man is utterly inhuman and is akin to abuse. “I’m appalled that a group of grown men would take advantage of someone in such a vulnerable position. They have left a human being scarred for the rest of their life.” According to Karen the man, from Poland and named Tomek, is popular with locals and many are disgusted at what happened.

She added: “I am also outraged that any tattoo shop would do this to someone. “We are in talks with some other business and are looking into having the tattoo removed at some stage for him.”
