Family first for the girls
WOMEN are a lot more generous than men when shopping for their family and friends.
More than half of them splash out on their kids and relatives, compared with just 39% of men.
A Norton Finance survey also revealed women were less likely to treat themselves than their blokes.
The average woman spends £70 a month on luxuries such as holidays, non-essential clothes and recreation.
But men spend £83 on average, around 19% more than females.
Mark Stringer, managing director of Norton Finance, commented: “It has been interesting to see these variances into male and female spending.”
