Bri’s beer is cosmic
SPACE brainbox Brian Cox has launched his own tipple called Cosmic Brew.
The professor’s work on the planet-hopping beverage is light years away from his day job as a lecturer and television star.
With the help of brewers JW Lees, he experimented with several different brews before settling on a zesty amber ale with a “space-age hoppy twist”.
Brian said: “Growing up in Oldham, walking distance from the brewery, JW Lees is a name I have always known – and their beers are legendary.
“So, to work with them, to experiment with different beers, to uncover the secrets and science of brewing and launch Cosmic Brew has been a great experience.”
Brian even had a hand in designing the bottle’s distinctive label.
It shows the stars over the brewery as they were on the day he was born in 1968.
