‘It couldn’t survive cost’

REALITY beauty Georgia Cole ★

reckons ITV axed its “winter Love Island” because it was proving too expensive to make.

The show, which has been dropped after just one series, was filmed in South Africa.

Ex-contestant Georgia said: “I think the decision is a shame. I’m pretty gutted. They should have given it a second series.

“But I think it was inevitable because making the show in South Africa cost so much. It cost about £1,000 to fly each of us over there. “Plus they had to build the set.” Georgia was joined by a host of gorgeous girls and hunks for the series which aired in January.

But it wasn’t a relaxing break. Georgia added: “People think you’re there to have a three-week holiday.

“But you feel like you’re going at 100mph. Your emotions are all over the place. In one day I’d feel happy, sad and jealous. It was crazy.”
