HALL OR NOTHING FOR ROBINS

-

CRAIG HALL is urging his Hull KR team-mates to go all out for victory today – and then hope it is enough to secure their Super League place.

Rovers need to beat relegated Widnes by 13 points or more to leapfrog above Toronto into the safety of third spot in the Middle 8s.

If they don’t, they will be doomed to the drama of a Million Pound Game relegation showdown with London on Sunday. Two years ago they lost to Salford in that do-or-die game and they fear ending up there again.

But winger Hall (left) says they cannot allow themselves to think about that scenario, or even consider points difference, ahead of this afternoon’s home game.

He said: “Maybe some do think about the consequences of defeat but I don’t. I’m pretty confident in what we’ve got in the changing room despite the injuries that we’ve picked up over the last few weeks.

“The win comes first and then hopefully Super League comes next.”

Rovers coach Tim Sheens believes they will pick themselves up from a shock defeat at Toulouse last week.

He said: “We don’t need to rev the guys up this week.”
