Spice Girl hikes tout of order
SPICE Girls fans were furious after tickets sold out in a minute, then appeared immediately on tout sites for 200 times their face value.
And huge demand for tickets led the band to announce four more dates on the six-city tour.
The reselling site Viagogo had pages set up before tickets went on sale with Ticketmaster at
10.30am yesterday.
A minute later, £55 Manchester tickets were listed for up to £1,488, including a £388 booking fee.
One £70 Wembley ticket was on offer for a staggering £14,850 with other seats going for £500 to £2,000.
One scalper tweeted: “Selling two Manchester
£1,650 each.” Another wrote: “Two London Spice tix – £1,000 each no offers.”
An angry fan said: “Touts win again.”
Ticket reselling sites are technically legal, although the competition watchdog is investigating.
