Swann bails out

- ED GLEAVE

GRAEME Swann has revealed he had a bust-up with pro partner Oti Mabuse in rehearsals.

The cricketer, 39, said: “We had a fallout before we did the jive. I’d worked really hard on a bit of it and then she wanted to take it out. I demanded we keep it in.

“We had a blazing row about it and she stormed out. I was left feeling very sheepish and stupid. I’m terrible in fights, especially with women. I say things, then immediately regret them.

“Later on I made her a green tea and we hugged and it was all great. The other day I brought it up and I thought she was going to kill me on the spot!” DANNY John-Jules put in the best acting performance of his career last night…he was all smiles with dance partner Amy Dowden. Rumours are swirling that the pair hate each other so much bosses have had to step in.

But any bad blood was kept well hidden during their Caribbean inspired samba. Although it still wasn’t enough to impress the judges and they are again bottom of the leaderboard.

There is now a good chance they will miss out on the holy grail of the series – the visit to Blackpool.

Of course, there was no mention of the controversy surrounding them last night. That seems frankly ridiculous, as ignoring their troubles just adds even more grist to the rumour mill.

Ashley Roberts was star of the show again, showing heart with a dance dedicated to her late father.

But it might not be enough to bag her the Glitterball as we viewers just can’t see past her dance CV…
