Brits give up hol to help out
A BRITISH couple helped to save dozens of animals on the streets of India. Caroline and David Moody, both 54, broke off a grand tour of Asia to work as volunteers at an Animal Aid charity sanctuary in Udaipur, India.
They helped animals suffering cruelty and neglect.
Retired paramedic David said: “The most rewarding thing was gaining trust with a dog.
“Even if you’re there one week you can see an enormous difference in them.” Former journalist Caroline said: “Animal Aid look after their volunteers so well and you feel appreciated and you know what you do is valuable.
Caroline, who lives in Jersey with David, added: “You can see the difference in a dog in just 10 minutes – it goes from being nervous or scared to relaxed and unafraid.”
