Erection in saucy city

A CITY could soon erect a statue of its most famous product – a bottle of sauce.

Councillors in Worcester also want to honour Worcestershire Sauce with tours of the Lea & Perrins works and a gift shop.

One, Richard Udall, said: “We need factory tours, we need a Lea and Perrins gift shop and we may even need a statue of a bottle of Worcestershire Sauce. It’s a product to be proud of – let’s do it.”
