Stars act the goat

- ■ EXCLUSIVE by DOMINIK LEMANSKI

HOLLYWOOD celebrities are having a giggle with LA’s latest party animals.

Jennifer Aniston and singer Miley Cyrus are among A-list hosts who have hired Nigerian Dwarf goats to mingle with their famous guests.

The miniature animals, which grow no higher than 2ft, are happy mingling with people and playfully butting them.

They are even happy to walk on their backs and give “mini-massages” with their hooves.

Afterwards, they sleep it off in their enclosures at Party Goats LA which charges £75 per animal per hour, including a human wrangler who rounds them up when the party ends.

Owner Jessica Raskin said: “They’re so friendly and such fun to be around. We’re booked up right through Christmas and the New Year.”

PREMIER League teams are charging up to £10 postage on replica shirts this Christmas.

Top flight sides will rake in millions over the festive season selling merchandise online to loyal supporters.

With numbered replica shirts costing up to £70 for adults and £50 for children, fans are already being hit in the pocket.

But the Daily Star Sunday has found some clubs are charging a whopping 20% of the cost of a shirt in postage fees. Huddersfield Town topped the list of offenders.

They charge £10 for next day delivery and £5 for standard delivery when mailing out a £50 adult home shirt. Similarly, Tottenham Hotspur charge a hefty £8.99 for items arriving the next day.

And they demand £4.99 if you want your delivery within two and five days.

Martyn James, of complaints handler resolver.co.uk, said: “I can’t tell you how disappointing it is to see big football clubs fleecing their fans with these unnecessarily high postage charges. “Long-suffering supporters would be forgiven for thinking there is an ongoing tax on their loyalty from rich club bosses.

“For many these excessive postal charges – on top of overpriced merchandise – will be the last straw.”

Other teams who came out near the top of our “league of shame” include Cardiff City.

The Welsh side charges £5 and £8 for standard and express delivery. Londoners Fulham slap on £4.95 for standard and £7.95 for express. But Chelsea, Brighton and Manchester United earned praise from campaigners by not charging for their standard deliveries. A spokesman for the Football Supporters’ Federation called on other clubs to follow the example set by those who have scrapped pricey postage fees. Manchester United caused an outcry earlier this season with the launch of an “authentic” shirt at a record £183.

The top – which is £120 more than a replica version – is identical to the hi-tech shirts worn by the players during matches.
