Buying or selling, we can teach you how to win big in property

IF you’re struggling to buy, rent or renovate a property, the Reuben brothers can help.

The Daily Star Sunday has teamed up with the duo to offer regular advice on everything from neighbour disputes and loft conversations to cutting your utility bills and surviving a burglary.

The self-styled Property Brothers have worked in the industry from a young age, rising up to senior roles at two national organisations.

Their love for property began when they were just 12.

Josh, 27, explains: “We’ve been brought up in a family who works in the industry.

“So we used to go on site and see all this in action with our dad. We’d see the small refurbs, extensions and so on that he was developing.

“So we found very quickly that it was so interesting, and that’s where the passion comes from.”

Both brothers knew they wanted to follow in their dad’s footsteps but chose different paths to reach that goal.

Josh went to university to study property and finance to qualify as a chartered surveyor.

However, younger brother Jordan, 22, left school at 16 and began work straight away in a construction and development role. It means between them they have more than 10 years of experience from different sides of the industry.

Now they’re perfectly placed to advise on both sides – buying or renting a home, plus maintaining or improving it for sale or simply enjoyment.

Josh says: “Between Jordan and I, we talk to over 500 buyers and renters a year, first-time buyers, first-time renters, developers, improvers, everyone.

“We understand and sympathise with the difficulties for those first-timers – or those needing a really good deal – and what they’re going through.

“Our jobs are very much about putting buyers and renters on a straight path to ensuring they can get their home sorted. It can all be a minefield, so we hope to help you find your way through.” Jordan adds: “We have found that, because we are younger yet have the experience, people find we are more relatable.

“So if they’re struggling to make a deposit or need a rental price lowered we know what that’s like.

“We’ve got the experience and knowledge to steer the readers in the right direction.

“And because we are in development we can also provide the nifty tricks on saving money, small refurbishments, making the most out of your property – the small things that make the difference to either your living standards or when it comes to sell.”

Brexit threatens to affect finances across the country but the Property Brothers believe it could be good news for buyers. Th pro fair A per ren
