DINOSAURS had giant fleas that were so big their bites would have felt like hypodermic needles going in.

The super fleas, which were up to 3cm long – ten times the size of today’s pests – would target the dinos’ softer under-bellies.

The fossilised remains of the parasites were found by Chinese scientists. They had long claws to tackle the dinosaurs’ ridged skin. A LIBRARY pocketed an eye-watering £7,498 in seven months from 15,051 fines for overdue books in Salisbury, Wilts.
