Dylan is done with drinking

-

STAND-up comedian Dylan Moran, 47, has revealed he has quit booze.

On stage in London he switched his usual glass of white wine for tea.

Dylan said: “I’ve not had a drink since January. Not because of any doctors or anything, I don’t listen to those people.

“They’re all way too young, and they try and intimidate you with all the jargon and bulls **** .”

Dylan is best known for playing the heavy-drinking Bernard Black in Channel 4’s Black Books and was rarely on screen without a glass of wine in his hand.

He says he is reaping the rewards of quitting – he’s lost weight and it’s given him a fresh perspective.

Dylan said: “I just feel I’m in my body lately. I’m not kidding. I forgot for a long time what life was like.

“Until I was 46 or 47 or whatever my whole life was an out of body experience.”

He may be sober now but it hasn’t altered his slurred surreal take on stand-up.

Dylan Moran’s Dr Cosmos Tour will be around the UK until December 8.
