ITALIAN POG
Inter to offer star pair plus cash in bid to take Paul to Milan
JOSE MOURINHO could be offered two of his dream targets if he’s ready to cash in on Paul Pogba.
New Inter Milan director Beppe Marotta is ready to offload £75million-rated defender Milan Skriniar and £48m winger Ivan Perisic – both long-term targets of Mourinho.
Marotta has been pushed out of Juventus after seven consecutive Serie A titles and could get one over on his old club, who have also been linked with a move for their former man Pogba.
Inter have not yet formerly announced Marotta in his new
role but it’s only a matter of days before that takes place.
And reports in Italy suggest he is ready to hijack Juve’s bid to bring Pogba back to the club he loves in a mega deal which would be worth close to £200million.
It’s no secret United and Mourinho are desperate to sign Perisic, 29.
Skriniar, 23, would also be the answer to the boss’s prayers for a rock-solid centre-back.
Pogba was taken off with just over 20 minutes to go in yesterday’s drab 0-0 draw with Crystal Palace.
He is on good terms with Marotta and the new Inter man is known to be close to Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola.
Earlier this month Pogba denied talk of a rift between him and Mourinho, saying: “I’m just the player, I do what he tells me to do.”
