VERDICT ON LAST NIGHT

ALL OVER FOR CRICKETING DANCER SWANN?

-

SURELY it’s time Graeme Swann was bowled out. Looking like a camp Popeye in a sailor suit, his arm movements made him appear as though he was having a fit.

The judges weren’t impressed, giving him sixes across the board, so I’m saying goodbye to Popeye the flailer man.

Joe Sugg, who seems to style himself on Shaggy from Scooby Doo, almost made a balls up of his basketball routine but 10s from Bruno and Shirley saved his bacon. Zoinks.

Charles Venn’s tango was lacklustre but he should avoid being a casualty this week after scraping 30 points for his dance to the worst version of Eleanor Rigby I have ever heard.

It was another bad night for Lauren Steadman whose salsa lacked spice. She could save Swanny if voters turn against her after she came bottom of the pile.

For once Pussycat Doll Ashley Roberts got some criticism from the judges. But even on a bad day she is streaks ahead of the rest.

Last night’s stars were Faye Tozer – who waltzed to a glorious 39 points – and Stacey Dooley who got the same for her paso doble.

They were separated only by the show-ending Lindy Hop.

The judges made a hash of the scores but Faye came second to Ashley to take six points and go top of the leaderboard. It would have been a tragedy had she not finished top this week.
