PARIS: MY SEX TAPE TORMENT

REALITY star Paris Hilton has described the leaking of her sex tape as “like being raped”.

She broke down in tears as she spoke in the documentary The American Meme on Netflix.

Paris said: “It was like being raped. It felt like I’ve lost part of my soul and been talked about in such cruel and mean ways.

“Literally overnight my entire life changed... everyone was making fun of it.

“I didn’t leave my house for, like months. I was so embarrassed. I felt like everyone on the street was laughing at me.”

After the sex tape was leaked she landed a reality show with her friend Nicole Richie in The Simple Life which then turned into a success for four years until 2007.

Paris, who recently announced her split from longterm boyfriend Chris Zylka, also spoke about feeling closer to fans than to her friends.

She said: “I love my fans just as much as they love me. I feel closer to them than most people I know.

“My parents think I am crazy [asking] ‘why do you let these people into your life, giving them your phone number and letting them stay at your house? What is wrong with you?’.”

“I’ve been through so much in life and I don’t really trust people. With my fans, I don’t feel like that at all.

“They say that watching me go through so much really helped them be stronger. I’m always trying to be there for them and let them know it’s OK to be them.”
