BACKSTAGE With LENNON STELLA
Lennon Stella Blue Q.
Jonas Liam Payne
“I was on the TV show Nashville for six years so I was tied down, in a positive way. I got to write all that time and develop. It was bittersweet when the show ended but these songs have all come up in the last few years and so did that bass heavy sound. I ended up doing a lot of the songs during a writing camp in Nicaragua.”
How did the Jonas Blue single come about?
A. This guy Roman who I worked with in London talked about me and somehow I got thrown in the bucket and they reached out to me to sing my vocal. I was in London and it was super-cool and great to cut vocals in the same room as Liam Payne. It’s very rare to actually be in the same room these days. It’s way more pop than my own vibe but I love it.
Was Jonas Blue pulling our leg when he said Cheryl was originally going to sing your part? A. I heard that story and I was like, ‘Wait he didn’t tell me that’. But it makes a good gossip story.
So you must have been the right age to appreciate One Direction?
To be honest I was not much of a 1D fan, it was always my friends who loved them. So it was never crazy for me to meet Liam. I wasn’t super freaked out but he’s so chilled anyway its impossible to freak out

Yeah I’ve been avoiding Twitter because that’s where all the 1D stuff is. There were a lot of things people were running with like, ‘Who’s this new Cheryl lookalike?’. It doesn’t really bother me because it’s so not personal, they would be like that with any girl around him. It’s nothing
hurtful. A.
