TV Paul’s show is deserted
TV chef Paul Hollywood saw his US show suffer a record low audience, losing over 20% of viewers.
The Great American Baking Show: Holiday Edition was watched by just
3million people.
It is the lowest ever viewing figures for Hollywood, who has spent five years trying to make a name for himself on US main networks.
The top show of the night was seen by four times as many people.
An NFL game – the Los Angeles Chargers versus Kansas City Chiefs – had
12m viewers. Hollywood’s poor start is the worst ever for the US Christmas themed version of the Great British Bake Off.
Few major US reviewers even wrote about the show.
Even though former Spice Girl Emma Bunton was drafted in as a host the series has not enjoyed much media attention Stateside.
