SOAP favourite Laurie Brett is looking a world away from her EastEnders character these days.

For years she played down-trodden Jane Beale.

But it seems a year away from Walford has done her good. Laurie is one of the celebs competing on a special of singing gameshow All Together Now.

And when she walked out on stage she wowed the 100 judges with her new look.

It was her first time singing live in more than 15 years. Laurie said: “This is out of my comfort zone. But I watched a couple of the episodes and thought ‘why not?’ as it would get me singing again.”

Other stars taking part include Gemma Collins and Alison Hammond.
