Tree glee for celebs

-

CELEBRITIES are going nuts over an ethical Christmas tree company which plants a sapling in Africa for each one it sells.

Stars including Amanda Holden, Holly Willoughby and Gary Lineker are buying trees from The Christmas Forest, which hopes to plant its 300,000th tree on the continent soon.

Founder Kelty Caston now has 10 pop-up stores in London after starting out in a lay-by 20 years ago.

He said: “I wanted to give something back. That’s when we ended up partnering with Tree Aid and planting the trees in Africa.”

He said the trees restore the soil and help to give families an income by selling products such as nuts and fruit.
