The Rock rolls with punches

-

JASON Statham admits fighting Dwayne Johnson on camera is no walk in the park as he fears the former wrestler could easily put him in intensive care.

The pair are working together on the Fast And Furious spin-off film Hobbs & Shaw in London.

And Jason, who is a judo expert, adores the action scenes with ex-WWE star “The Rock” because of his impeccable timing.

The Brit, 51, said: “He is so cool to do a fight sequence with because he is such a physical expert.

“He moves fluidly and he has got great judgment of time and space.

“People make mistakes and if you haven’t got a good concept of your own balance and space, if you are swinging hard with adrenaline and if you are not accurate, you can really make a mistake.

“If he makes a mistake and you are on the receiving end, it is straight down to hospital.

“But if you can use skill and slippery technique it is entertaining to watch.”

Jason also revealed that while Dwayne, 46, is a brute on screen, he is a gentleman off set.

He added: “He is the opposite of that. He is extremely polite, relaxed and he is a diamond to work with – he truly is a 10 out of 10.”
