Scott free to sparkle

SCOTLAND’S Scott Jamieson will take a one-shot lead into the final round of the Alfred Dunhill Championship.

He posted a 68 yesterday to edge ahead of closest challenger David Lipsky.

Jamieson, 35, carded an eagle, five birdies, one bogey and a double bogey to move to 11 under par. A major flashpoint was a three-shot swing in the Scot’s favour on the short 16th. Bunker trouble saw American Lipsky run up a double bogey while Jamieson – chasing his second European Tour title – hit an eight-foot birdie putt.

Home favourites Zander Lombard and Brandon Stone were in a tie for third a further two strokes back on eight under.
