Dereck eyes a shot at Fury III

- By TOM HOPKINSON

DERECK CHISORA wants to settle his score with Dillian Whyte and then complete his trilogy with Tyson Fury.

Three of the eight defeats on Del Boy’s record have come at the hands of those two.

And on Saturday he has the chance to avenge his

2016 split-points defeat by Whyte (bottom) when the pair meet at London’s

O2 Arena.

Chisora, 34 (top) said: “Everything we have done for the last 13 weeks has been amazing, I feel great in myself and have so much confidence going into this fight.

“It’s not going to go 12 rounds if I’m being honest.

“The last time I fought him I was not 100 per cent fit, more like 75, and right now I’m 250 per cent fit and so excited about that.” The pair have a past and that came to a head before their last fight when a table was flipped over at the press conference and insults were slung in both directions.

Chisora added: “Dillian is upset because I said he’d get knocked out by Anthony Joshua.

“After that, I went to see him and he started talking crap in front of his boys.

“I was like, ‘You know what, who cares anyway?’

“I had my opinion that he was going to get knocked out and he did get knocked out.

“The argument was just generated by social media but I’m ready to settle it on Saturday.

“I’m born again and I’ve turned my life around to help me progress and move on.

“I was burning the candle at both ends and I had to blow one end out.

“So no clubbing for me, no partying for me, it’s just about being a family man.”

Fury beat Chisora in

2011 and again in 2014. Chisora said: “When I see him I say, ‘Are we going to have a third one?’ And he says, ‘We’re going to have a third one’.

“So it’s going to happen, it’s our destiny to have a third fight.

“This time last year in Monaco he was standing next to me and he was a big guy, he was overweight.

“I said to him, ‘Listen, people can tell you what to do but only you yourself can change’.

“And he said, ‘Don’t worry, I’m coming back’.

“Me and Fury have the same mindset — we’ve not done enough yet, that’s the drive we have.”
