HATS OFF TO SLIM STAR
WILL.I.AM has ditched his trademark hats after getting in shape.
The Black Eyed Peas star was back on TV last night showing off a trim new look.
He has lost two stone, which means he now has a totally new wardrobe on The Voice.
Will said: “I don’t want to hide behind clothes and draping jackets and big brim hats now that I’ve changed my eating regimen and my fitness regimen.
“The brim hats I wore were to hide stuff. But now I’ve lost some pounds.”
Will has always been known for his wacky outfits and unique look.
He weighed around 15 stone at his heaviest.
But going vegan and launching into a new exercise regime has helped him to slim down dramatically in just over a year.
He said: “Last series I wasn’t super-heavy but I was the heaviest I’ve ever been.
“I was 210lb. I had high cholesterol and high blood pressure.
“I didn’t want to be my age and have my uncle’s cholesterol. I don’t want to be 50 years old and have health problems.
“Diabetes runs in my family. But I don’t want to have health problems.
“I’m a little bit more disciplined in my eating behaviour now.”
Will is back on the panel alongside Jennifer Hudson, Sir Tom Jones and Olly Murs.
As the new series began last night, all the coaches nabbed acts for their teams. The blind auditions continue on Saturday on ITV.
