WILL.I.AM has revealed his upbringing was so deprived that his family had to sleep on the floor.

The Voice UK coach grew up on a povertystricken estate in Eastside, LA.

Opening up about the tough times, he said: “We were growing up in the projects in the ghetto. There were six of us that slept on the floor.

“When

I finally got the chance to move my mum to a big old house, for the first two years we slept on the floor together because we were so used to being around each other.

“That bond that you have with your family, that’s how you’re able to get up. That’s how you’re able to get knocked down on the floor and get back up.”
