Amelia: Give us answers

-

THE killing of a sweet four-yearold girl is always heartbreaking.

It is even more upsetting when the perpetrator is the child’s mother.

And the horrific nature of Amelia Harris’ death – partly drowned then burned to death in the back garden – is almost too much to bear.

Amelia’s mum, Carly Ann Harris, was found not guilty of murder as she was ruled to be insane.

That is simply not good enough for Amelia’s grieving family.

Carly’s sister, Tiffany Wright, has launched a campaign to raise funds to seek a retrial.

She says they have new evidence that would put Harris where they say she belongs – in jail.

Tiffany fears her “devil” sister will have an easy life in an institution, with a warm, en-suite room and regular takeaways.

There are obviously questions that need answers in this case and we hope Tiffany and her family raise the cash they need to hire a barrister to fight for them.

Nothing will bring back this tragic little girl.

But it is only right and proper to demand Justice for Amelia.
