ISIS PLOT TO KILL KATE
TERRORIST THREAT TO POISON FOOD
FANATICS are threatening to poison the Duchess of Cambridge’s food in a sick new plot.
A vile post sent on encrypted extremist site Telegram urged Isis followers to tamper with products at Kate’s favourite supermarkets.
They shared pictures of her shopping, with a red X scrawled over her trolley and the message: “We know what she eats – poison it!”
There was also a chilling new threat against Prince George.
A photo showed George, five, holding Prince William’s hand beside a masked, knife-wielding Isis nut and the words: “Rise of the kuffar” – which translates as “unbeliever”.
The messages prompted an exchange between dozens of fanatics in the chat room, detailing how to insert poison into food.
They also shared information about which stores Kate uses.
A security source told the Daily Star Sunday the threat was being taken “very seriously”.
The message was posted on the same site previously used by Islamic State supporter Husnain Rashid to call on his followers to kill Prince George. Former mosque teacher Rashid, 32, is now serving a life sentence with a minimum of
25 years over the plot.
He also urged fanatics to poison tubs of ice cream in supermarkets across the UK in some of the staggering
290,000 hate messages he sent on encrypted sites.
The Telegram instant messaging app has military grade encryption and was described as a “tool kit for terrorism” during Rashid’s trial.
Our source said: “Intelligence agents believe the threats made against Kate are not idle and are linked to messages sent by Husnain Rashid.
“It’s a disgusting plot as it involves Kate’s young children, and exploits her attempt to live a normal life like any mother wants to.” The source added that all messages posted on Telegram are traced and monitored.
They said: “This is not run-of-themill Twitter trolling.
“They are messages that are exchanged globally between jihadis that are often erased very quickly, detailing attack plans.
“The fact Husnain Rashid was jailed over his involvement on it shows how seriously it is taken.”
Kate, 37, most recently surprised shoppers at Christmas by visiting discount store The Range in King’s Lynn, Norfolk, near the Sandringham Estate where she spent some of the festive season. She has also been seen stocking up on groceries at a Waitrose supermarket in Norfolk – which is believed to be one the stores mentioned by Isis nuts on the Telegram site as a poisoning target.
Also in the firing line is a Waitrose near Kensington Palace, where Kate now lives with William, 36, and their children Prince George, Princess Charlotte, three, and eight-month-old Prince Louis.
