Harry and Meg’s home raid alert

Daily Star Sunday - - FRONT PAGE - By ISOBEL DICKINSON

PRINCE Harry and Meghan Markle have hired round-the-clock security at their new Cotswolds home amid fears they could be targeted by gypsy gangs.

The couple are worried after masked raiders twice tried to break into the nearby estate of pals David and Victoria Beckham.

The Beckhams’ mansion in Great Tew, Oxon, is just a stone’s throw from Harry and Meghan’s 18th century farmhouse.

The Cambridges have Royal Protection officers stationed at the home when they stay there. But they have now hired full-time security officers to guard the property even when they are away.

A source said: “They’ll have a security officer there 24/7 even when they are not in residence so they don’t fall foul to this gang of crooks.

“It’d be an embarrassment if they broke into the house belonging to the Duke and Duchess.”
