It’s Roger and out after gigs
‘OLD MAN’: Daltrey ROGER Daltrey reckons The Who’s reunion tour could be his final time on the road.
The 74-year-old says he feels like an “old man”.
He revealed he went deaf for three weeks last year and worries about his voice giving out on him.
Daltrey admitted: “This will possibly be my last tour. I’m just being realistic about going through the
75th year of my life.
“I have to be realistic that this is the age I am and voices start to go after a while.
“I don’t want to be not as good as I was two years ago.”
The rock band agreed to return to the stage for a new tour to celebrate their
55th anniversary. Guitarist Pete Townshend, 73, said he would reunite with Daltrey for a US and European tour as long as they can record new material.
But the rock icons are at odds over tracks penned by Townshend for a new album planned for release in the summer.
Townshend said of his desire to record some new music: “This has nothing to do with wanting a hit album.
“It has nothing to do with the fact that The Who need a new album.
“It’s purely personal. It’s about my pride, my sense of self-worth and self-dignity as a writer.”
