A HOLLYOAKS ac­tor has told how abuse vic­tims asked for his help af­ter he starred in a groom­ing sto­ry­line.

Aedan Duck­worth has just been nom­i­nated in the New­comer cat­e­gory at the Na­tional Tele­vi­sion Awards.

The 17-year-old joined the Chan­nel 4 soap at the end of 2017 as Gary Lucy’s es­tranged son Ol­lie Morgan.

His char­ac­ter was tar­geted by foot­ball coach Buster Smith who used his po­si­tion to sex­u­ally abuse him.

Speak­ing ex­clu­sively to the Daily Star Sun­day about the plot, Aedan said: “It re­ally has been so sur­real, but I feel so proud and hon­oured to have been a part of it all.

“I’ve had peo­ple reach out to me and I’ve passed their de­tails on to a char­ity so they can help.
