Teen in demand after harrowing storyline
A HOLLYOAKS actor has told how abuse victims asked for his help after he starred in a grooming storyline.
Aedan Duckworth has just been nominated in the Newcomer category at the National Television Awards.
The 17-year-old joined the Channel 4 soap at the end of 2017 as Gary Lucy’s estranged son Ollie Morgan.
His character was targeted by football coach Buster Smith who used his position to sexually abuse him.
Speaking exclusively to the Daily Star Sunday about the plot, Aedan said: “It really has been so surreal, but I feel so proud and honoured to have been a part of it all.
“I’ve had people reach out to me and I’ve passed their details on to a charity so they can help.
