Phil drive’s wheel deal

THERE something in the car tonight – a new owner of Phil Collins’ old motor.

His old family runaround has sold for more than £8,000 at auction in the Netherlands.

The singer snapped up the 1959 Austin A35 from his aunt at the height of his career to stay true to his working-class roots.

The vehicle remained in the family until his record company sold it on his behalf in 2003.

The former Genesis rocker is a lover of Austins after his dad drove him around in his own when Phil was growing up.
