PICCAWILLY LINE’S LUST PROPERTY

- By FELICITY CROSS

RANDY passengers have left more than 150 sex toys on the Tube and in taxis and buses.

Dozens of dildos, vibrators and other sex toys were handed to lost property staff between 2014 and 2018, according to Transport For London.

Ironically, the largest number was handed in at Cockfosters underground station – the end of the Piccadilly line. The next station with the highest recorded number was Brixton on the Victoria line.

A TfL insider said passengers have often asked lost property officers if their misplaced toy has been found. The source said: “We had one women who came in last year who was in her 60s and said that she had lost her ‘little friend.’

“After a while she said that it was a toy and we got the message. She said she had owned it for 20 years and was very attached to it. We don’t judge people here. Some people come in and are as bold as brass and will say, I left my vibrator or dildo, it was green or whatever the colour was and has various speeds.

“It’s worth remembering the 150 refers to the sex toys handed in. Probably a lot more are thrown away.”

Five sex toys were found in the back of black minicabs and 55 were found on buses. Three were found in bus or coach stations. One device was also handed in at the London Transport Museum.

The remainder were found on Tube and overland trains and the Docklands Light Railway. The source said Viagra tablets, drugs, wigs and even bags of cash had also been found on the city’s transport network. TfL says that items found on the network are held for three months before either being donated to charity, recycled, binned or sold at auction.
