Partridge returns as pod-father

-

STEVE Coogan is planning an Alan Partridge podcast in which the spoof chat show host tries to cash in on his telly comeback.

Coogan, 54, scored a hit last year with the return of his gaffe-prone presenter in BBC series This Time With Alan Partridge – 25 years after the character’s television debut.

The actor revealed plans for a second series as well as the podcast spin-off.

He said: “We have just finished a podcast. It’s Alan at home – a smaller, more unplugged kind of Alan.

“He has had some degree of success, and it’s him trying to cash in on it.

“We will probably do another This Time, the sofa-based magazine show. It was great having Susannah Fielding [as co-host Jennie Gresham].

“She was brilliant and it was great to have her have her own story rather than just being a two-dimensional foil for Alan. So we’re just doing that.”

Release dates for the podcast and TV series have not been revealed.

HEAVENLY Hollie has her heart set on a hot British summer and has no plans to fly abroad for a tan.

The east London lass, 23, says there is no place she would rather be than Southend-on-Sea in Essex when the weather picks up.

Following recent storms, she said: “I’m looking forward to summer to get some Southend rays.”
