CLEANING queen Aggie MacKenzie says a hot date with a married man ended with their bed catching fire.

The 64-year-old told how they had booked a converted garage on Airbnb for their night of passion before things took a turn for the worse. The telly star, who shot to fame on Channel 4’s How Clean Is Your House? with Kim Woodburn, met “Tom” online.

She claimed his disabled wife had given him her permission to “roam”. Aggie, wed to Matthew

Goulcher for 20 years, said: “Everything was romping along well, the temperature building nicely when, all of a sudden, fire alarm bells went off – the loudest I have heard. “I jumped up – one of the pillows had shifted over, made contact with the candle and was now on fire.

“The next couple of hours were spent doing operation clear-up.” Aggie says the Airbnb owner did not bat an eyelid, adding: “It was hardly the kind of pillow talk I’d envisaged, but at least no lasting damage was done.”
