DACIAS ARE REAL GAS

-

HERE’S an interesting new development – Dacia now offers the option of LPG (liquid petroleum gas) powertrains in its Duster, Sandero and Logan MCV models.

The cars are fitted with a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine that can run on both petrol and LPG.

There are 1,400 fuel stations in the UK that sell LPG, and the cost per litre is typically around 62p.

Engines use more LPG per mile than petrol but you’re still looking at significant cost savings. It’s cleaner, too.

The cheapest dual-fuel Dacia is the Sandero at £9,095 but my money would go on the Duster at £12,895.

AS it promised last year, Audi has made a lower-performance version of its e-tron SUV.

In the electric vehicle world that means a smaller, cheaper battery and a lower range. The new e-tron is badged as the 50 Quattro (last year’s is the

55 Quattro) and has a range of 190 miles – about 50 fewer than the 55.

It’ll cost from

£59,900.
