Actors wait to Quiz duo
STARS of the drama about the Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? coughing scandal refused to meet the convicted cheaters until they finished filming.
Actor Sian Clifford revealed that show bosses did not want Charles and Diana Ingram to sway the portrayal of them in Quiz.
After scooping £1million on the show in 2001 Charles, then a Major in the Army, was convicted of deception.
Sian, who plays wife Diana, said: “When we did meet them, it was very moving and I believe they’re happy with this.
“And we’ve tried to be very, very sensitive towards everyone involved to be honest, because it is a very contentious issue.”
The Fleabag actress stars opposite Succession’s Matthew Macfadyen.
Sian said that to this day the Ingrams insist their innocence.
The drama begins on April 13 on ITV.
