DAVE, LISA ‘N’ MICK END UP IN THE NICK

BLOKES called David, Mike and John are the most likely to end up behind bars.

And watch out for girls called Kelly, Lisa and Sarah.

David was the most common criminal name last year, the Ministry of Justice revealed. Michael was second, and John third.

There were 1,956 Daves in jail in December 2019, along with 1,885 Mikes and 1,555 Johns. One of those men is

David Mitchell, who was jailed for life in 1991 for murdering his girlfriend Kathleen McKenzie.

He served almost 23 years before being freed in August

2013, only to murder sex worker Robert Hind while out on licence.

He was jailed again and will now die behind bars. Another is Michael Stone, who killed Lin Russell, 45, and her six-year-old daughter Megan with a hammer as they walked down a country lane in 1996. He was sentenced to life with a 25-year minimum term. John Duffy attacked numerous women and raped and murdered at least three of them in the south of England in the 80s.

He was imprisoned for life in 1988.

Kelly was the common names female jailbirds.

And Lisas and Sarahs were also likely to be locked up.

In 2015, Lisa Withers was jailed for 26 years for stabbing partner Jason Capper to death. Her sentence was cut to 23 years on appeal.

Other names which could lead to time in the slammer are Paul and Daniel for men, and Emma and Michelle for girls. most among
