HOTSHOT TRUMP IS A POT HUNTER
WORLD CHAMPION and top ranked Judd Trump is ready to rule the roost when snooker returns.
The Juddernaut has swept aside all before him by winning an incredible six ranking titles in the same season.
And the hungry left-hander, 30 (below) can make even more history when the game hopefully returns later this year.
“Over the next couple of seasons I can really pick up the pace,” said Trump.
“I’d like to keep on target for some more records by the end of my career. I just want to win as many tournaments as I can. “Records are very important, but they’re not the be-all and end-all.
“As long as I can keep winning tournaments – hopefully at the rate I have been doing recently – then that would be great.
“That will be hard but I’ll keep enjoying myself and looking forward to events rather than being bored and worn out.
“At the moment I’ve got the right balance of tournaments and practice, so I’m really enjoying myself.
“For me it’s about peaking at the right time but that’s a bit difficult now because I’ve done so well.”
Trump was due to defend his World Championship title in Sheffield this month but snooker’s marquee 17-day tournament has provisionally been postponed until either July or August – depending on the duration of the coronavirus crisis.
