EUROVISION is about to go global thanks to Will Ferrell.

The actor’s comedy about the camp singing contest is released on Netflix this week.

And it will introduce millions of people to the song competitio­n for the first time.

Will, 52, has been a fan of Eurovision for years after his Swedish wife got him hooked – but most Americans have no idea what it is.

He said: “There’s a level of camp that is unlike anything we have here in the US.

“On televised US competitio­ns we’ve pretty much had people standing in one spot and singing. Eurovision is about these incredible performanc­es where you choreograp­hy, bizarre props, costumes and make-up.”

Will was amazed when he went to the 2018 contest in Lisbon, Portugal.

He said: “I didn’t realise what a production it is until I actually went and saw the huge show they put on.
