STRICTLY’S star signing Nicola Adams is topping up her earnings by charging fans for video messages.

The boxing champ, 37, flogs clips online for £166 a time.

In an advert on celebrity video service Cameo she is seen encouraging fans to shell out.

She says: “Hi everyone, it’s Nicola Adams here on Cameo. If you want any shout outs or birthday messages, hit me up and I’ll see what I can do.”

The site guarantees Nicola will film a clip within a week of payment being sent.

Fans can also use a chat service for £3 a pop.

It is likely the venture will be highly lucrative for Nicola in the coming months.

The retired sportswoman has signed up to be on Strictly this autumn in the show’s first same-sex pairing.

It means more than 10million viewers will be watching her every Saturday and Sunday night, and her profile will get a major boost.

An industry source said: “Nicola already has a big following thanks to her amazing career in boxing, but her stint on Strictly will make her more famous than she’s ever been.

“It is TV’s biggest show. Millions will be following her progress on the dance floor and supporting her. And as she is making history by being part of a same-sex couple, there will be even more interest in her than there normally would.” They added: “Once the series gets going, her videos will be selling like hot cakes. Her Cameo venture is going to make her big money.” Nicola has been living it up on holiday hotspot Mykonos this week alongside long-term girlfriend Ella Baig, 22. Signing up for Cameo has proved to be a huge earner for a string of celebrities, including A-listers Gary Busey, Caitlyn Jenner, Billy Zane and Lindsay Lohan.

Actor James Buckley, who played Jay on The Inbetweeners, is said to have pocketed more than £100,000 from selling video messages on the site. And Tiger King star Carole Baskin is said to earn around £15,000 a day.
