BRIGHTON BURNLEY

-

ONE man’s wine is another’s poison. Graham Potter has come in and it’s clear his remit was to transform the playing style of the team.

That’s what he worked on last t season and he was able to keep p them up. For me they take too many risks for the reward they get from it. I don’t see the benefit.

They struggled last season and I thought they were going to go down after the re-start.

Manager: Graham Potter

Major arrivals: Adam Lallana, (above)ove) (Liverpool, free) Joel Veltman, (Ajax, £900,000) Jensen Weir, (Wigan, undisc.) Zac Emmerson (Oldham, undisc.).

Major departures: Anthony Knockaert, (Fulham, undisc.) Martin Montoya, (Real Betis, undisc.) Glenn Murray (Watford, loan). Title odds: 750-1

What they need: Left-back Bernardo could be on his way to West Ham on loan, which would free room for them to grab Rico Henry from Brentford.

WHEN Sean Dyche went public with some of the problems with what was happening at the club last season I thought it could be coming to the end.

The Burnley boss is in an almost unique position in that he’s a manager with control over the football club.

Certain managers just carry more weight than others and Dyche is one of them. You can expect more of the same from Burnley this season. Manager: Sean Dyche

Major arrivals: Will Norris, (Wolves, u undiscl.) Marc Richter (Augsburg, undiscl.).

Major departures: Joe Hart, (Tottenham, free) Jeff Hendrick (Newcastle United, free).

Title odds: 750-1 Sean Dyche’s preferred targets are being ignored by the board and that spells trouble for the Clarets, who used academy players on the bench post-lockdown.
