Dele-cate ERIKSEN KEY TO DEAL

- By TOM HOPKINSON

DELE ALLI’S hopes of forcing through a move to Paris Saint-Germain in the next 36 hours rest on Tottenham chances of getting Christian Eriksen back through the door.

Alli, 24, is desperate to link up with former manager Mauricio Pochettino at PSG.

And, along with the club’s sporting director Leonardo, Poch wants Alli.

Spurs boss Jose Mourinho is open to the move too but chairman Daniel Levy won’t sign off on any deal unless his club have a replacement for Alli, given the injury to Giovani Lo Celso.

Old-boy Eriksen is back to being their No.1 target – although even at this late stage of the transfer window there are no guarantees Inter Milan will let him go.

The Dane, 28, left Spurs for Inter a year ago in a £24.3million deal.

But the challenge has not worked out the way he wanted it to and that has opened the door for him to be loaned back for the rest of this season.

Inter boss Antonio Conte said last week that NOBODY would leave the San Siro.

And even if they can convince Inter to do business there will be fierce negotiations around wages given the player’s monster deal in Italy.

But that won’t stop Spurs pushing to get Eriksen in and, if they can get a deal done, then it will pave the way for Alli to move to the French capital in a bid to reignite his career.

Alli joined Spurs from MK Dons for £5m in 2015 and was a key figure in Spurs’ rise under Pochettino. But he has struggled for game time since Mourinho came in.
