Keane’s blast at United’s players

-

they’ve gone, ‘I don’t think we’re ready for that yet’.

“You’re looking at Arsenal, who are missing a few players. I know that doesn’t guarantee you to win football matches but the game was there for the taking.

“Cavani obviously has got to score. Overall, the performance lacked that intensity. Ole said it was a good performance, I disagree with that.

“Even when Man United are having a bad day they create one or two chances, but it was the lack of belief in the rest of the game.

“Too many draws and when a team is there for the taking, it doesn’t win you the big prizes.

“At the end of the season you start looking back and those four or five points we lost in those three or four days, huge.

“It really takes its toll obviously at the end of the season when you reflect. At the moment you might try and pretend it’s not that important.”

United boss Solskjaer said:

“We don’t think about the title race or title now

– we’re in January.

“The game gives us more belief again because we dominated and created enough big chances to win the game.

“The reaction and approach to the game was good.”

Arsenal were without captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang – who has spent time dealing with a family issue – as well as Kieran Tierney and Bukayo Saka.

Arteta refused to say whether or not Aubameyang was in quarantine because he had been out of

the country.

But on the game he said: “It was a fair result.

“Both managers probably think they should have won it.

“The fact that we have three of our best players out probably has an impac but

I’m happy.”
