Marcella 9pm, ITV

Flashbacks reveal the extent to which Marcella’s old persona is still haunting her.

Just days after she found out she killed her own baby, mutilated her own face and left Rav for dead, Frank finds a dishevelled Marcella in a London underpass.

He persuades her to come with him to Belfast and go undercover, and her training begins. Back in the present, Marcella discovers a tattoo parlour receipt and it dawns on her that she has an inking across her back – but no memory of getting it.

Later, Katherine realises Stacey and her baby have disappeared from the hospital, and Marcella receives a mysterious text telling her to come to a hotel room.

She’s confronted by another reminder of her old life – and a familiar face… ★★★★

Kevin McCloud’s Escape To The Wild 10pm, Channel 4

As the host of Grand Designs, Kevin McCloud has seen some extraordinary buildings, but he’s probably never stayed anywhere quite like the Atkinsons’ new home in the rainforests of Belize in Central America.

The family of five have swapped life in London for a new, simpler existence in one of the world’s wildest places, and they’ve constructed a two-storey edifice entirely from recycled rubbish. Kevin is put up in a mud hut, which he shares with a scorpion.

That’s not the only danger the presenter faces, as he discovers Belize is home to more species of snakes than any other country, and there’s a threat from thieves from across the Guatemalan border. So, he’s keen to learn how the Atkinsons stay strong in the face of these challenges. ★★★★

How To Keep A Healthy Weight With Michael Mosley

Last year, Michael Mosley brought us Lose A Stone In 21 Days. However, a few veteran dieters may have been wondering if some of those pounds crept back on almost as quickly as they fell off. To find out, the presenter is reuniting five of the volunteers.

Not only will he be giving them bespoke advice on how to maintain a healthy weight over the long term, he will also be tackling some common myths, asking if it really is inevitable that dieters will end up putting back on whatever they lose.

Drawing on cutting-edge technology and tests, Michael finds out how many calories the volunteers need a day and if that differs from the NHS recommended amount. He also asks if exercise is as helpful as we think when it comes to fighting flab. ★★★★
