THE LOCK OF LOVE

- ■ by ED GLEAVE

A COUPLE in their 20s have decided to chain themselves together for three months to test their feelings in Kiev, Ukraine.

BLOODLANDS star Lisa Dwan had to ditch the glamour for her role in the crime drama.

The actress, 43, braved sub-zero temperatures in Northern Ireland to film scenes alongside James Nesbitt, 56.

Lisa, who plays university lecturer Tori, said: “Jimmy and I had a series of very intense filming days up the Mourne Mountains. I remember one day filming in a snow blizzard, having to make our way to set by jeep as the cars couldn’t make it up the mountain.

“Once, I sat back into the car after a take and my co-star Lola Petticrew burst into a fit of giggles.

“There were little mounds of snow caked over my lashes and my lips were blue.” Bloodlands, which began last weekend, centres on the hunt for a mystery assassin known as Goliath.

Lisa is promising the four-part series will keep viewers gripped.

She said: “From the moment I opened the script, I was totally gripped by the whole story. I feel immensely proud to be part of this.”

The second episode is tonight at 9pm on

BBC One.
