NEW SERIES: Cast of cop show

LINE Of Duty is set to be back on TV in just three weeks.

Show bosses have announced the new series will start on BBC One on March 21.

It is due to be the longest run yet with seven episodes.

Fans were given a taste of what is to come as a trailer was aired yesterday.

The plot will focus on an unsolved murder case.

Show regulars Vicky McClure, Adrian Dunbar and Martin

Compston are all returning to the show as police serving in an anti-corruption division.

Kelly Macdonald and Shalom Brune-Franklin are also joining the cast.

Line Of Duty has become one of TV’s biggest shows since launching in 2012.

The fifth series, which aired in 2017, pulled in more than 12million viewers.

A MAN who survived being blasted with a shotgun on his doorstep said the attack is slowly killing him 14 years on.

He revealed: “I’m there years later after doing special forces and all of a sudden I’m in Saddam Hussein’s villas. We bought all his cars. We used to hire them out in to Baghdad.

“It was like Hertz car rental but an armoured Mercedes that used to be Saddam’s.

“And then going to parties, which was just mental.

“Every Thursday night was party night, there were these parties kicking off all over Baghdad.” Ollie told podcaster James English that the bashes were like “the Wild West”.

He said: “All of a sudden women in burkas come in.

“And they took off these burkas and they just had all European porn gear on and it was just alcohol, drugs and everything. I was like, ‘What’s going on?’”
